2009 HWIL Scholarship News & Initiatives

  • HWIL mentors AAMA Inc, girls in the Barrios Unidos Youth Program, March 18, 2009. A group of young ladies were able to hear about the life/career challenges that women in leadership roles have overcome, youth were provided by inspirational testimonies and treated to lunch at Brady's Landing.
  • HWIL Mentorship is launching a pilot project on April 14th to organize mentors for La Rosa Family Service clients assisting them with transportant, guidance, and support.
  • HWIL is collaborating with other community based organizations to launch youth leadership development workshops, dates TBA

SCHOLARSHIPS

HWIL will award scholarships to 2009 graduating seniors based on academic performance, leadership, and economic need.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be enrolled in a college or university in Texas

Must be ranked in the upper 1/4 of his/her class

Documentation Needed:
