2009/2010 HWIL Scholarship News & Initiatives

  • HWIL mentors AAMA Inc, girls in the Barrios Unidos Youth Program, March 18, 2009. A group of young ladies were able to hear about the life/career challenges that women in leadership roles have overcome, youth were provided by inspirational testimonies and treated to lunch at Brady's Landing
  • HWIL Mentorship is launching a pilot project on April 14th to organize mentors for La Rosa Family Service clients assisting them with transportant, guidance, and support.

  • HWIL is collaborating with other community based organizations to launch youth leadership development workshops, dates TBA
  • SCHOLARSHIPS

    HWIL will award scholarships to 2010 graduating seniors based on academic performance, leadership, and economic need.

    Must be enrolled in a college or university in Texas

    Must be ranked in the upper 1/4 of his/her class
